This circular advertises that the Lawrence landing is in Delaware City, Kansas Territory. It states that Delaware City, on the Missouri River and closer to Lawrence than either Leavenworth or Quindaro, is the most convenient way to ship goods over the river route to Lawrence. Delaware City had recently come into the hands of free state settlers, who wrote this circular to improve the town and to encourage emigration to Kansas Territory.
