This printed letter, written by Bradford R. Wood, concerns the April 16, 1856, departure of another group of settlers bound for Kansas Territory. It includes information on how to join the New York State Kansas Committee's next "company" of settlers who were scheduled to depart on May 14, 1856. The letter also announces that the Shawnee Reserve in Kansas Territory would be opened for settlement.
