A formal portrait of William Barclay "Bat" Masterson, 1853-1921, who was raised in Wichita, Kansas. Masterson was a deputy sheriff in Dodge City, Kansas with Wyatt Earp in 1877, and served as the elected county sheriff of Ford County, Kansas from 1877-1879.
