A letter from J. H. Henderson asks Kansas Governor Humphrey why William Walker of Wyandotte, Kansas is addressed as Governor Walker. A separate letter from F. G. Adams from the Kansas Historical Society writes to Governor Humphrey regarding the inquiry made by J. H. Anderson. In the letter from Adams, he provides several explanations of why the title of Governor is attached to Walkers' name.
