This photograph shows a group of men and women standing in front of the silo-shaped float built by Lincoln Township for participation in the Kaffir Corn Carnival Parade in El Dorado. A note on the back of the photo reads, "This silo of kafir entered in the parade in 1914, by Lincoln Township. This float was upset on the way and Wallace Cameron, pilot crew, sustained a broken arm -- but they got there just the same." This publication was funded in part by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission through the Kansas State Historical Records Advisory Board.
