This photograph shows a booth featuring a diorama with painted backdrop, made up to look like a field of kaffir corn in front of a Butler County oilfield. This was constructed as a display for the Kaffir Corn Carnival in El Dorado, and sits just outside the entry arch to Kafirville. This publication was funded in part by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission through the Kansas State Historical Records Advisory Board.
