These two rim sherds, from different vessels, were collected from a multicomponent camp site occupied during the Archaic and Early Ceramic periods in Doniphan county. The rim sherds, and other artifacts, were donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 1925, though they were collected over a period of years from 1912 to 1916. Both rim sherds are sand tempered. One is decorated with wide horizontal tool trails below the lip. The other has a crenellated collared rim.
