This affidavit and arrest warrant relate to the Douglas County case of the Kansas Territory vs. Real Carpenter and others for robbery. In an affidavit sworn before Judge Sterling G. Cato on October 4, 1860, Daniel Kezer accuses Real Carpenter and other unknown persons of robbing him of "one double barrel rifle, one sabre, and one bowie knife" on September 30, 1856 in the Kansas Territory.
