These legal documents relate to the case of the United States vs. James Bradbury, John Bradbury, and Joseph Crocker. The three men were accused of stealing and killing two hogs belonging to William C. Childers on about March 25, 1855 in the Kansas Territory. Childers reported the crime to Justice of the Peace John Serpell on April 12, 1855. James and John Bradbury were released on bond May 1, 1855.
