These two arrest warrants relate to the case of the United States vs. Lewis Bien for failure to answer a grand jury subpoena. The warrants were issued on February 29, 1860 and June 21, 1860 from the U. S. District Court for the Kansas Territory, Second District, in Lecompton. On the back of the first warrant, the U. S. marshal states the defendant was not found.
