These seven ceramic shreds were collected from a site in Chase County and donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 1962. Shown are two rim sherds (top row), a handle (middle row), and four body sherds (middle and bottom rows). Two of the body sherds show cord marking, meaning a cord-wrapped paddle was used to make a roughened surface treatment. One of these was further decorated with corn cob impressions.
