These 15 images include photographs and records related to the town of Franklin, in Crawford County, Kansas. The materials include school records, certificates of citizenship. The town, established in 1866 and incorporated in 1907, was founded by the Cherokee - Pittsburg Coal Company. There were a number of mining camps in the vicinity and many of the miners lived in Frontenac.
