This leather pouch or bag was donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 1934. The bag measures 6 3/4" wide, with an overall length of 14 1/4". The pouch is decorated around the top and bottom with red and orange ribbons, 42 bells and porcupine quill covered leather thongs that are tipped with bells and tinklers. The tinklers have had horse hair, dyed yellow and green, inserted. The front of the pouch is decorated with narrow strips of quills dyed red, green and orange, and with two bells. The back of the pouch is decorated with green and red quill bands with red feathers attached in two rows. Leather thongs, covered in red and green quills and tipped with tinklers and horse hair are attached to the bottom corners.
