These two photographs were shot at the Owl's Nest petroglyph site in Ellsworth County by a Kansas Historical Society Archeologist in 1980. The petroglyphs at this site are located on a Dakota sandstone bluff. Glyphs found at the site include equestrian figures with shields, anthropomorphic (possibly shamanistic) figures, incised lines, and figures with possible lances, in addition to modern graffiti.
