Records indicate that this walking cane was Siouan in origin. It was donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 1922. The cane is 79 mm long and the body is covered with spiral yellow and black beading in a zig zag pattern. The head of the cane is carved into a horse's head with a slot where brown cord was inserted to make the mane.
