These dart and arrow points were found in Lyon County and donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 1958. The smaller side notched arrow point got its pink color from the knapper heat treating the material to improve the chert's knapping qualities. The four dart points were attached to the fore shaft of a throwing spear and propelled by using an atlatl (spear thrower).
