These two gunflints were recovered from the surface of an archeological site in Johnson County in what was the Shawnee Reserve. Both gunflints were quarried and manufactured in southern England and have a single dorsal arris. The smaller gunflint shows some powder burn and fire crazing. It is unclear whether the site was a Shawnee farmstead or the Chouteau trading house for the Shawnee.
