Camp Funston, located at Fort Riley, Kansas, was a training and staging camp for soldiers bound overseas in World War I. At its peak, Camp Funston had over 1,400 buildings located on 2,000 acres. Funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission through the Kansas State Historical Records Advisory Board.
