Louis Palenske photographed the Palace of the Governors during his photographic excursion along the Old Santa Fe Trail. Built in 1610, this is the oldest public building in the United States. Palenske captioned the photo, "Old Governors Palace, Santa Fe". Palenske created this photo with his Korona Panoramic View Camera, using a 17-inch negative. Funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission through the Kansas State Historical Records Advisory Board.
