Louis Palenske photographed Kit Carson, Jr. while making his excursion along the Old Santa Fe Trail. Carson is seen here with one of his sons. Carson performed in Wild West Shows and had a reputation for violence and rough necking. Funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission through the Kansas State Historical Records Advisory Board.
