A group of Native American chiefs from New Mexico were photographed by Louis Palenske at the dedication of the new football stadium at Haskell Institute in Lawrence Kansas. The four-day event was held from October 27 to October 30, 1926, and thousands of Native Americans from across the nation attended. Louis Palenske created this photo with his Korona Panoramic View Camera, using 17-inch film. Funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission through the Kansas State Historical Records Advisory Board.
