This is a studio portrait of Victor and Irene Rogler Palenske taken at Louis Palenske's studio in Osage City. Victor and Irene met while the two were attending college at what is now Kansas State University at Manhattan, Kansas. On the reverse of the photo Irene Palenske wrote, " Taken of Vic and me one day in Osage City, Kansas in 1927 or '28 when I visited his parents there. No chance to fix my hair. I'm not proud of this, Vic is honest, ok." Funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission through the Kansas State Historical Records Advisory Board.
