Photograph of the 1914 Lecompton Rural High School Baseball team. Two rows of athletes are posed outside of the entrance to the Lane University building which served as the high school from 1902-1928. The ten young men of the baseball team are dressed in pin-striped baseball uniforms. The shirts have "LHS" lettering on the left side and dark colored placket and banding. All are wearing a baseball cap that has a dark brim and pin-striped cap portion. Most of the athletes in the front row are also wearing a baseball glove. The team's coach, Roy McCall, is standing on the left in the back row and is wearing a dark cardigan sweater, white shirt, dark tie, and a fedora. The identities of team are written on verso: Front Row: George "Cutey" Bahnmaier (catcher), Ship Winter, Wayne Morris, Lou Schott; Back Row: Fred Burton, John Banks, Darryl McCall, Harry Fleenor, Frank Shirley, Richard "Dick" Richards.
