Photograph of the First and Second Grade Class at Lecompton Grade School in 1908. The students are standing in front of the stone Grade School which was built in 1899 at the southwest corner of Woodson and Boone Street. The photograph shows the entrance arch and windows on the left side. The stone school burned in 1919. One student has been identified: First row, fourth from right: Alice Lee. Funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission through the Kansas State Historical Records Advisory Board.
