Photograph of Lecompton Elementary School, first grade class and teacher, early 1900s. Children and teacher standing outside of a stone school. The stone elementary school, built in 1899, used to stand at the south-west corner of Woodson and Boone Street. (The stone school burned in 1919.) Miss Caldwell is identified as the teacher. Front Row: Don Stark (left side), George Shaw (2nd from right), Ted Baughman (right). Dates of photograph given as 1908-1909 and 1912-1913 on back.
