This clear glass flask was recovered from historic Fort Hays in Ellis County during excavations there by Kansas Historical Society archeologists in 1966. The flask was mouth blown with a cup bottom mold. The front of the flask names the drug company that manufactured the unknown contents, but over time it has become difficult to read in its entirety. What can be discerned is "COIL(?) BROTHERS DRUG CO. ST. LOUIS MO. Fort Hays was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971 and is a State Historic Site.
