These three ceramic body sherds represent some of the earliest donated material in the collections of the Kansas Historic Society. They were donated by a D. C. Tillotson in 1880. The donation records identified them as "ancient pottery" that had been found east of Osbourne City near the Solomon River at a depth of three feet. The pottery all show a cord marked surface treatment and may represent three vessels or three parts of one vessel.
