These diaries, written by the John Talcott Norton family from 1876 to 1895, provide accounts of life in early Pawnee County, Kansas. Included are many references to the fort and city of Larned. Most of the entries pertain to agricultural work, but some describe food, herding, and rabbit hunting. The Norton family diary included contributions by the children. This version is an annotated typescript made by Helen Norton Starr (1876-1982).
