Model 1865 Spencer repeating carbine by the Spencer Repeating Rifle Company of Boston. Serial number 13834. The Spencer carbine was a favorite weapon of the cavalry from the Civil War until the early 1870s. The seven-shot repeater fired a .52 caliber bullet.
