Pair of white cotton pillow shams embroidered in fushia-red. The first features a female figure in repose and reads "I slept and dreamed that life was beauty." On the second sham the female figure is standing with a broom in her hands and reads "I woke and found that life was duty." Used in a sod house in Decatur County.

Date: between 1880 and 1910
