Dark peach silk wedding dress consisting of a bodice and a separate full skirt (not pictured). Bodice has tall Victorian collar trimmed lace. Large puff top sleeves tightly gathered above elbow, narrow to wrist. Worn by Ida May Giddens (1875-1957) of Gypsum when she married Charles Curtis Carey (1869-1933) of Emporia on April 8, 1896 at the Methodist Church of Gypsum. Both were born in Kansas, she in Great Bend and he in Kansas City. They lived most of their married life in central Kansas, primarily in Peabody and later Winfield.
