This photograph shows the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Company depot in Marion, Kansas. The one-story, "county-seat" style depot opened on June 17, 1912. It features a gabled roof with an operator's bay and an enclosed freight room. At the peaks of the roof are the Santa Fe emblems commonly associated with a county seat depot. The depot was refurbished by the Marion City Library and the City of Marion and opened on July 14, 2002 as the Marion City Library.
