This photograph shows the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company depot in Marion, Kansas. The one-story "county-seat" style depot, opened on June 17, 1912, and features a gabled roof with an operator's bay and a enclosed freight room. At the peaks of the roof are the Santa Fe emblems which are commonly associated with a county seat depot. The depot was refurbished by the Marion City Library and the City of Marion and opened on July 14, 2002 as the Marion City Library.
