This is a postcard showing John Fienhage who was born July 7, 1891 on a farm north of Baileyville, Kansas. His parents were Frank and Christine Lierz Fienhage. John married Mary B. Vodemkamp on January 30, 1917 at St. Bede's Church in Kelly, Kanas. He was a farmer and stockman and farmed his family homestead. John retired from farming 1953 and moved to Axtell 1958. The last ten years of his life he lived with his daughter Roberta Ornbring in Axtell, Kansas. He died November 7, 1979 in Seneca, Kansas. John and Mary had five children: Wilfred Bill Fienhage; John Fienhage, Jr.; Margaret (Mrs. Joseph Buessing); Roberta (Mrs. Oenbring); and Grace (Mrs. Eastman).
