Letters written by Maximillian Joseph Tournade to Mrs. J. E. Rockhold, his mother, and Miss Roberta Tournade, his sister, in Lyndon, Kansas. He wrote the letters while serving in World War I. He was born in Ocala, Florida, October 13, 1895 and came to Kansas in 1901. At the time Tournade was inducted, he was living in Lyndon, Osage County, Kansas. During the war, he was a member of the Supply Co, 353 Inf., 89 Div. The photograph is part of the Kansas Soldiers of the Great War Collection.
