Here are four photographs of Helen Mahan, Mabel Tarr, and Sewell Tarr at the Manhan-Tarr #1 oil well in Barber County, Kansas. The well is located in the Medicine Lodge field and it is owned by Mrs. T. C. Mahan of Coldwater and her sister Mrs. Sewell Tarr of Huntsville, Arkansas. They inherited the land from their father Frank Markham.
