This Great Bend aspect vessel section was recovered from the Saxman site in Rice County and donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 2016. The Saxman site, a large Great Bend aspect village site, was occupied by the protohistoric Wichita. These ceramic sherds were reconstructed by the donor. The vessel has shell temper, a smooth exterior surface, diagonal lines on the lip, and loop handles.
