Mr Starks caled on me this morning and wanted to get a ]bond?] for a Deed of a Lot in West Lawrence he Said you agred to give him one Lot he Says Whitman and Lykins has given him a Deed for One Lot Each and wished me to write you immeadtly. he has Sold his half of the mill to the [Fimbulls?] here and wants to Settle up his Buisness immeadtlly Mr Whitman has called on me a number of times about the West Lawrence thay are trying to get the Court House [located?] for Douglas County he has offared them a [xxx] Contaning between five and Six acres and to give them five hundred Dollars in mony and wants to know if you will do the Same. Mallery and Ditzler and One one or two more have offered the Same Mr Babcock is trying to have it Located on his Claim has offered a Large Sum as I understand, please write
