These seven ceramic handle sherds were recovered from the Saxman site in Rice County and donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 2016. These handles show a variety of handle types and decorations. Six of the handles are different styles of loop handles, while the seventh is a wide strap handle. Two of the loop handles are plain, three have a pinched buttress on the bottom portion, and one loop handle has decorative modes on either end. The Saxman site, a large Great Bend aspect village, was occupied by the ancestral Wichita.
