This perforated disk was recovered from House 1 at the Markley site, a Smoky Hill Phase occupation site containing two or more houses. The artifact was likely used for either spinning yarn or to help in drilling holes. It was made from a broken pottery sherd and reshaped and repurposed for a new function.
