Two photographs of the second Shawnee County courthouse, which was built in 1896, during demolition in 1965. At the time the photograph was taken only the central tower remained standing amid a pile of rubble. The plaque reads, "ERECTED A.D. 1896." The courthouse stood at Fifth and Van Buren Streets, Topeka, Kansas.
