These two marbles were recovered from the cistern at the Hale Ritchie house in Topeka during excavations in 2004. Though the Hale Ritchie house was a stop on the Underground Railroad, these glass marbles likely date to a later period. The marbles were commies and not used as shooters while playing marbles.
