These four scrapers were collected from Elk County and donated to the Kansas Historical Society in 1959. All four are made of Alibates flint, an agatized dolomite from the Canadian River valley in the Texas panhandle. The scrapers may have been hafted onto a handle and used to scrape hides. They would have required periodic resharpening.
