This photograph shows inmates Wm. H. Anderson, 9588, and Spencer Mains, 8116. Wm. H. Anderson, also known under his alias Lewis Jackson, was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on December 6, 1900 from Barton County, Kansas. Spencer Mains was received at the penitentiary on April 30, 1897 from Cherokee County, Kansas. Both men were received for burglary.
