This photograph shows inmates James W. Thomas, prisoner #9612 and Felix Sawyer, prisoner #9551. James W. Thomas, also known as William Thomson, was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on December 21, 1900 from Butler County, Kansas for grand larceny. Inmate Felix Sawyer, also known as Phelix Sawyer, was received at the penitentiary on November 24, 1900 from Crawford County, Kansas for burglary.
