This photograph shows inmates Harvey Mills, prisoner #7860 and Wm Hartnett, prisoner #8659. Harvey Mills was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on September 6, 1896 from Rice County, Kansas for murder. Also known by the surname spelling Harvie. Inmate Wm Hartnett, also known by the surname spelling Harnet, was received at the penitentiary on October 6, 1898 from Shawnee County, Kansas for larceny.
