This photograph shows inmates James McGettigan, prisoner #8695 and Jacob W. Cook, prisoner #9241. James McGettigan was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on November 2, 1898 from Wyandotte County, Kansas. Inmate Jacob W. Cook was received at the penitentiary on March 7, 1900 from Labette County, Kansas. Both men were arrested for murder.
