This photograph shows inmates Robert Hill, 9317, and Samuel D. Hensley, 9001. Robert Hill was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on April 9, 1900 from Ottawa County, Kansas for stealing hogs. Samuel D. Hensley was received at the penitentiary on July 15, 1899 from Pratt County, Kansas for murder.
