This photograph shows inmates Ed Fokson, prisoner #8602 and William Black, prisoner #9314. Ed Fokson, also known by the surname Johnson, was received at the Kansas State Penitentiary on June 30, 1898 from Atchinson County, Kansas for burglary. Inmate William Black was received at the pentientiary on April 6, 1900 from Oklahoma for larceny.
