This is a postcard showing the U. S. Naval Ship Gen. C. C. Ballou, a C-4 type troopship built in 1945 in Richmond, California. It was 523 feet long, 72 feet wide and cruised at 17 knots. The ship had complete facilities for troop recreation on board. This ship was used during the Korean War.
